ANGEL CAKE BY CATHY CASSIDY

Angelcake_standard

Angel Cake is written by the infamous author Cathy Cassidy. She is a British author of young adult fiction. Anya is pretty much your average teenager, who has just moved from Poland to Liverpool, Britain. Let me ask you this, if you'd just transferred from a completely different country to another country, halfway across the world, would it be easy to settle in?
Fortunately, she befriends Frances McGee, Kurt and Cheesy the rat. They may not be the ideal friends, but what can you do. Anya meets bad boy Dan, who is no Angel but there is always a "sweeter" side to a person. Frances persuaded her, that he is no-where near boyfriend material and she shouldn't try to become friends with him.

Who Is Your Favourite Character In The Book And Why?
My favourite character in book is Anya because she has a quiet and serene presence in the novel. I like the fact that she has a strong relationship, with her family who are very supportive. Especially, when being in a life changing position, she doesn't ignore their support. Anya uses it to embrace the fact, life goes on and she can either just go with it, or not.

What Was Your Favourite Part Of The Book?
My favourite part of the book was the beginning, because it's nothing like most novels, which have quite complicated beginnings. They start of explaining one point, but it ends up developing into nearly five chapters. Which I don't mind at all, but this book was different and different can be good.

What Would You Give This Book Out Of ?/5?
I would give this book a 4/5 because it is definitely what you would expect from the brilliant Cathy Cassidy and more. I especially loved the plot because it really kept me, ecstatic to find out what was going to happen next. Seriously, I couldn't put the book down. For those of you who love romance, comedy, and secrets this book is the book for you.
